It isn't surprising that people tend to find their peace of mind out in the secluded world. Adventurers will go to some of the most remote places just to find that edge of tranquility, even if it were just a blimpish. That's how fulfilling it is! It isn't even so much the scenery. I know some that ride the dunes of Wadi rum in Jordan, and still seem to find their center (Monk-ish for inner peace). It's the calling of the wild that gets me. Sometimes not a call at all, but just a whisper. It gets me every time. Where does your sanity lie?
